Which Clinique Mascara Should You Buy? 2026 Guide to All 10 Tubes

Which Clinique Mascara Should You Buy? 2026 Guide to All 10 Tubes

It's 7:52 a.m. and the train leaves at 8:10. Concealer is done, brows are done, and now you're standing in front of the mirror with the one step that decides whether you look awake: mascara. One wand clumps, one smudges by lunch, and one makes your lashes look exactly like your lashes, only better. Finding that last one is the whole game.

Clinique sells ten different mascaras on its U.S. site, and from the outside they look almost identical — slim tubes, silver or green caps, prices between $20 and $30. The differences are in the brush, the formula and how each one comes off at night. GlowTrials read every Clinique mascara listing in October 2026 to sort out which tube fits which kind of lashes.

The 10-Second Picker

  • Want a classic everyday mascara? High Impact™ Mascara.
  • Want the most volume Clinique sells? High Impact High-Fi™ Full Volume.
  • Straight lashes that won't hold a curl? High Impact™ Zero Gravity.
  • Hate smudges and makeup remover? Lash Power™ tubing mascara.
  • Swim, sweat or cry at weddings? One of the waterproof versions.
  • Tiny lower lashes? Bottom Lash Mascara™.

The Lineup, Tube by Tube

High Impact™ Mascara — $28 (0.28 oz)

Clinique calls this one "a classic for a reason." It's described as a buildable volumizing and lengthening formula that resists clumping, with a soft fiber brush designed to comb and define each lash. It's also the only one in three shades: Black, Black/Brown and Clinique's famous Black Honey. A 0.14 oz mini costs $14, which makes it the least expensive way to try Clinique mascara at all.

High Impact™ Waterproof Mascara — $28 (0.27 oz)

The same buildable idea in a waterproof formula, which Clinique says stands up to heat, humidity and an active day. The brush is different: a twisted wire brush rather than the soft fiber one. Shades are Black and Black/Brown.

High Impact High-Fi™ Full Volume Mascara — $30 (0.27 oz)

The brand calls this its most volumizing mascara. It's a fiber-infused gel formula with a wavy-bristled "High-Def Wave Brush" and a precision tip for small corner lashes. Clinique notes that fibers may be visible on the brush, and that the formula contains coconut, argan and moringa oils. Shades: Intense Black, Intense Black/Brown and a limited-edition Black Honey. There's also a waterproof High-Fi ($30) in Intense Black, listed with 12-hour, smudge-proof wear.

High Impact™ Extreme Volume Mascara — $29 (0.40 oz)

The biggest tube in the lineup by volume of product. Clinique describes an "over-the-top" brush and a "larger-than-life" look, in Black or Extreme Black. If you like drama and buy mascara often, the extra product per tube is worth noticing.

Chubby Lash™ Fattening Mascara — $28 (0.30 oz)

Think of it as the playful cousin. The brand says it plumps up lashes without weighing them down, using an oversized brush for 360-degree definition. It comes in a single shade called Jumbo Jet.

High Impact™ Zero Gravity Mascara — $30 (0.27 oz)

Built for lift. Clinique says it lifts, curls and lengthens with no curler needed, using a curved brush: the inner curve scoops lashes up and the outer curve sets them. The gel formula uses flexible polymers and, per the brand, resists rain, sweat and tears but rinses off with warm water thanks to a "poly-thermal" technology. One shade: Black.

Lash Power™ Tubing Mascara Long-Wearing Formula — $28 (0.21 oz)

Tubing mascaras work differently: polymers form a little "tube" around each lash. Clinique lists it as smudge-proof with 24-hour wear and a detailing brush for tiny lashes, and says it removes with warm water — no makeup remover needed. Shades are Black Onyx and Dark Chocolate. It's a strong pick for anyone whose regular mascara ends up under their eyes by 3 p.m.

Lash Doubling Mascara — $28 (0.27 oz)

A simple, tapered-brush mascara that Clinique says magnifies and lengthens lashes in minimal time, in Black. It has the shortest description of the bunch, which suits people who just want a straightforward tube.

Bottom Lash Mascara™ — $20 (0.07 oz)

A specialist tool. The micro-precision brush is made for the small lower lashes that a regular wand floods, and the formula is listed as smudge-resistant. At 0.07 oz it's tiny, and it's meant to be used alongside another mascara.

Waterproof, Tubing or Regular?

This is the choice that matters most day to day. Regular formulas, like the original High Impact™, come off with your usual remover. The two waterproof versions are built to resist water and sweat, so they're the ones for beach days and long events. The tubing Lash Power™ and the Zero Gravity formula sit in between: the brand says both stand up to sweat and tears yet come off with warm water, no remover needed. If you've ever scrubbed at waterproof mascara at midnight, that's a real selling point.

Clinique Mascara FAQ

Which Clinique mascara comes in Black Honey?

High Impact™ Mascara, and a limited-edition High Impact High-Fi™ Full Volume Mascara in Black Honey.

Which ones come off with warm water?

Clinique says Lash Power™ and High Impact™ Zero Gravity both rinse off with warm water, no makeup remover needed.

Are the fibers in High-Fi normal?

Yes. The listing says the formula is fiber-infused and that fibers may be visible on the brush.

Do I need a separate lower-lash mascara?

Not necessarily, but Bottom Lash Mascara™ ($20) exists for people who find regular wands too big for their lower lashes.

Our Verdict

For most people the decision comes down to three tubes: High Impact™ for an everyday classic in three shades, High-Fi™ for maximum volume, and Lash Power™ if smudging is your problem. Straight lashes point to Zero Gravity, and waterproof versions cover the sweaty days. Start with the mini if you're unsure, and check our Clinique deals page before you order.
