Beauty Pie Review 2026: Is the Members-Only Beauty Price Model Worth It?

Beauty Pie Review 2026: Is the Members-Only Beauty Price Model Worth It?

Turn over almost any luxury lipstick and you're paying for a lot more than the lipstick: the department-store counter, the glossy campaign, the celebrity face, the retailer's cut. Now imagine the same kind of formula with most of those layers stripped away, and a price tag that shows it.

That's the pitch behind Beauty Pie, a membership beauty brand that sells skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance at two prices: one for everyone, and a lower one for members. GlowTrials went through the U.S. store at beautypie.com in October 2026, comparing member and non-member prices, the membership terms and the returns rules, to work out who actually comes out ahead.

The Idea: Cut Out the Middle Layers

According to Beauty Pie's About page, founder Marcia Kilgore always believed the beauty industry "worked backwards", with retailers taking a large share of the selling price and brands spending heavily on advertising. Her answer was to call on a network of 50+ beauty labs, fragrance houses and cosmetic scientists in countries including France, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, South Korea, the UK and the USA, and sell their products direct.

The site sums up what you don't pay for: retail markups, fancy shops and glitzy packaging. What you do pay for, if you want the member prices, is a membership.

How Membership Works

  • Beauty Pie+ costs $59 a year, paid upfront and renewed automatically unless you cancel.
  • Member prices unlock instantly once the membership is in your bag. You don't pay until checkout.
  • You can still buy without joining, at the higher non-member price shown on every product.
  • Cancel within 14 days of joining and the fee is reimbursed, minus any free products and member-priced orders placed in that window.
  • A first-year savings promise: for new annual members (from 17 December 2025), if you don't save the value of your membership in your first year, Beauty Pie says it will refund the difference.

Member vs. Non-Member: What the Gap Looks Like

Here's how the two prices compared on popular U.S. listings in October 2026:

ProductNon-memberMemberMember saves
No-Smudge Tubing Mascara$20$13$7
Futurelipstick (Deluxe Shine)$29$17$12
Wondercolour Longwear Cream Eyeshadow Stick$22$14$8
Supercheek Silk Dip Luminous Liquid Blush$35$20$15
Element 79 Eau De Parfum$75$45$30
Rêves d'Èze Luxury Scented Candle$79$47$32
Super Healthy Hair Smoothing Paddle Brush$42$29$13

The pattern is clear: the bigger the ticket, the faster the $59 fee pays for itself. Two fragrances alone would cover it.

What's Worth a Look

Makeup that keeps it simple

The No-Smudge Tubing Mascara uses what Beauty Pie calls Absolutube™ technology, forming tubes around each lash that slide off with warm water. It's made in Korea. The Wondercolour Longwear Cream Eyeshadow Stick is an Italian-made roll-up stick you can use as a soft liner or smudge out for a smokier look. The Futurelipstick in Deluxe Shine is pitched as a sheer lipstick, balm and gloss in one, with squalane and vitamin E.

Fragrance from named perfumers

Element 79 was created by French perfumer Karine Vinchon Spehner, with pink pepper, sandalwood, orange flowers and peach. The name is a nod to gold's atomic number. Stole The Morning mixes jasmine, rhubarb and pear with orris, violet, musk and tonka bean. Both are $75, or $45 for members.

Home and hair

The Beauty Pie x Reena Simon candles are large 350 g, 3-wick candles in a matte ceramic vessel. Rêves d'Èze is a fresh morning scent with mint, eucalyptus, tea leaves and green basil. For hair, the Smoothing Paddle Brush pairs a beechwood body with nylon and natural boar bristles, for wet or dry use.

Buy as a member if…

…you'll spend more than about $60–$100 over a year, or you want fragrance or candles. The savings on a single perfume cover most of the fee.

Buy as a non-member if…

…you only want one mascara or lipstick. Paying $7 extra on a mascara beats a $59 fee you won't use.
