1. What's actually new about the LUNA™ 5 LED?
The lights are inside the cleansing device. FOREO lists four wavelengths built into the LUNA™ 5 LED (1,064 nm, 850 nm, 650 nm and 420 nm), grouped into two modes: one runs Deep NIR, NIR and Red together, the other runs Blue on its own. You switch modes with the universal button while you cleanse. 2. How long does one session take?

3. Do I need the app?

4. Will I keep buying replacement heads?
Not for a LUNA. FOREO describes the LUNA™ 5 LED and LUNA™ 4 hair as having no replacement parts, ever, because the touchpoints are silicone. The issa™ 4 toothbrush is different: it uses a hybrid brush head that FOREO says needs replacing once every six months.
5. What actually touches my face?
Food-grade silicone. FOREO describes the LUNA™ 5 LED's touchpoints as velvety-soft, non-porous and free of BPA and phthalates, and says that's why they rinse clean after every use. The device itself is listed as cruelty-free and vegan, with no animal testing in its development.
6. Can I use it in the shower?
Yes. FOREO lists the LUNA™ 5 LED, the LUNA™ 4 hair and the issa™ 4 as 100% waterproof. That's handy if your routine happens under running water rather than at the sink.

8. Which cleanser should I use with it?
Any facial cleanser works, but on the LUNA™ 5 LED page FOREO recommends its own LUNA™ Micro-Foam Cleanser 2.0. The brand lists amino acids and vitamin E in the formula and describes it as vegan, cruelty-free and fragrance-free. The routine is simple: dampen your face, apply cleanser, wet the device, then glide.

9. Is there a FOREO for the scalp?
Yes: the LUNA™ 4 hair, a scalp massager with 395 silicone bristles, T-Sonic™ pulsations and a red LED. FOREO's steps are to use it on wet hair before shampoo in small circles, then glide it through the lengths to spread a silicone-free conditioner or mask before rinsing.
10. How is the issa™ 4 different from a regular electric toothbrush?
Mostly the brush head and the battery. FOREO's hybrid head has two kinds of bristles on the front (outer silicone, inner polymer) and a tongue and cheek cleaner on the back. It lists up to 11,000 pulsations per minute, a built-in timer, app connection for custom settings, and up to 365 days per USB charge.
11. Can I return it if I open it and change my mind?
Usually not. FOREO's policy lets customers return unopened products within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, and it doesn't accept returns of opened or used products (with possible exceptions in some countries). If you're unsure, decide before you break the seal.
12. What does the warranty cover, and how do I claim it?
FOREO gives a two-year limited warranty from the original purchase date against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use. It doesn't cover cosmetic wear, accidents or misuse, and opening the device voids it. Register the serial number from the bottom of the device in your FOREO account.
