Gifting mistakes worth avoiding
Two things cause most gift disappointment, and neither is about taste.
Timing. Delivery estimates lengthen sharply through the holiday period, and a discounted item on backorder will not arrive early. If a date matters, order well before you think you need to, and check the estimate at checkout rather than the one on the product page.
Returns. A gift that cannot be exchanged is a problem you have handed to someone else. Check whether the brand accepts returns without the original payment card, whether a gift receipt is available, and how long the window runs — some brands extend it over the holidays, and many do not.
